An international consortium of institutions from five countries will develop the “YES C+C” project to improve the creative, cultural and innovation skills of young adult learners.
– Only 20 projects led by Spanish institutions have received Erasmus+ funding.
– Erasmus+ is the EU program to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe.
Fundación Mediterráneo will be the institution in charge of leading the Erasmus+ project YES C+C: Enhancing creative, cultural and innovation skills for adults, which has received the support of the European Union and has the participation of cultural institutions from Germany, Italy, Portugal, North Macedonia and Spain.
Through this project, designed and defined by Fundación Mediterráneo, it is proposed to improve creative, cultural and innovation skills for adults through new technologies. The aim of YES C+C is to develop a training program that allows young people to develop creative projects that improve their employability and their social and labor insertion. This initiative will run until 2023.
The YES C+C project consortium headed by Fundación Mediterráneo is made up of a prestigious group of European partners: the Materahub business consortium, a specialist in the cultural and creative field (Italy); the Arbeitskreis Ostviertel e.V., a cultural and pedagogical association with extensive experience in the development of creative projects among young people (Germany); the Center for Knowledge Management, an entity specialized in digital tools applied to training (North Macedonia); and the Conversas International Association, with extensive experience in working with disadvantaged groups (Portugal).
All these institutions have extensive experience in the development of projects on an international scale, which is a guarantee of success for the Fundación Mediterráneo project.
YES C + C will contribute to strengthening the development of creative, cultural and innovative skills of young people, through international collaboration between organizations active in the cultural and creative sector, training, employment and social inclusion.
The creative and cultural sector has been one of the hardest hit by the pandemic and, through the C+C Project, Fundación Mediterráneo aims to join efforts and contribute to improve cultural and creative skills among young people in Spain, Italy, Portugal, Germany and North Macedonia so that they can make culture and creativity their professional development field.
Fundación Mediterráneo, as a great supporter of cultural heritage and the development and support of creativity and cultural innovation, joins the collective effort to turn the creative and cultural sector into a fundamental piece of the socio-economic development of our society, contributing in a practical way to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations and promote the fulfillment of the 2030 Agenda. In short, the YES C+C Project aims to be a grain of sand to make our environment, our society fairer and more sustainable.
